Ever had a full apple bin of Arkansas Black or Calville Blanc d’Hiver after harvest wraps up? Me too! I use to feed them to racoons but sooner than I expected, I was the “crazy ol’ racoon lady” who lived alone at the end of the dirt road down past the elm that lightning split in the great storm of ’86.

Realizing this was a dead end, I switched to cider making. Using a custom design, high quality cast iron for for the components, laminated hard maple and a cross-bolted frame, we developed the Colonial™ Double Tub Cider Press

I Want To Drink That!

Yeah, me too. And you know what is great about the double tub? It’s efficient design allows two people to grind apples at the same time. A design originating from the 1800’s features a 3:1 gear ratio and an 18 lbs flywheel to grind apples in a smooth, easy fashion. So easy your child can do it! That is unless your child is too young to do it at which point your child is too young to do it and so they can’t…unless you help them.
